Assist Développement made concrete contacts and economic boost at the 2010 International Fair of Madagascar.
The 2010 International Fair of Madagascar, held at the International Conference Center of Ivato, ended last May 09th, giving a great satisfaction to all participants.
As the purpose of the IFM was the “economic boost” of Madagascar, the fair was a good opportunity for discoveries, exchanges, business, meetings, and partnerships between all the participants: from the locals (45%), from the regions (11%), foreigners (44%), and the number of visitors which reached 35.000 persons.

For its part, Assist Développement got more than 4000 visitors in a 150sqm stand during the 4 days. 55% of them were professional contacts. Thus, it was able to make known its achievements and big projects, its international representations (France, South Africa, Mauritius, Turkey, China and Reunion Island) to those involved in the economic field and the public at large who were attending the fair. This event enabled Assist Développement to evaluate the visitors’ interests as well as the sectors which uphold in the difficult political context that the Big Island is facing actually. It is to be noted that the market trend is spread out as follows: 23% for food products distribution (BarCodes), 22% for capital management and real estates promotion (Madimmo), and 17% for the security of goods and persons (Assist Security / Tag IP).

Having always in mind the ambition to bring a great contribution to the development of Madagascar, the other recent subsidiary companies of Assist Développement proved that they develop in many fields along the same lines: Mada Caoutchouc (elastomer processing in free zone), MCM (importation and selling of motorcycles, scooters and quads). The other subsidiary companies attending the fair such as La Centrale (purchasing center of major brands of construction industry in Madagascar), Assist Aviation (airline company), Optima Consulting Business France/Optima Consulting Business International (business plan drafting methods), Dream Stones Trading (jewelry) and AGF (Duty Free and ship chandlers) have also completed the presentation of Assist Développement platform of competences.

As an official sponsor of this 5th edition of the IFM, Assist Développement had also shown its dynamism during the 4 days of the fair with the demonstration of its dog team (Assist Security), tasting-animation of the energy drink XL and the Italian sparkling wine Prosecco (BarCodes), and ended the fair by a happy note of music.
The 2010 IFM has indisputably proved by the large variety of exhibitors, the quality of the products and services presented, the economic dynamism and the social commitment of the private sector, that despite a double context of national and international crisis, Madagascar reinforces its capacity to be the development focus of the Indian Ocean zone, thus bringing a feeling of general optimism to the economic sector of the Big Island.
We cannot wait for the 6th edition of the International Fair of Madagascar in the same way.
